Prayer Ministry

Prayer ministries are a foundational part of the life of the community at First Lutheran. Besides prayer in worship, in the daily lives of members and friends, and in the course of our life as a gathered community of faith, First Lutheran celebrates prayer in other ways:

Prayer Chain – First’s prayer chain brings together a group of dedicated prayers, lifting up the needs and cares of others.  Through the use of email, our prayer chain quickly reaches many Prayer Warriors!

Prayer Shawl Ministry – Over 20 kniters and crocheters create prayer shawls filled with prayer for persons in need. Prayer shawls are presented at worship, blessed with prayer, and sent forth as a reminder of God’s care for his children in need.
