The Lay School for Mission is a two & a half year (five semester) experience that seeks to enhance the faith life and skill level of lay persons in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Northeast Wisconsin as they join in the partnership of the gospel in their own congregations. The Lay School is a ministry of the Northern Great Lakes Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. To see the list of courses and find out more, click here.
In a unique atmosphere of discussion and exploration, without exams and grades, Lay School participants learn, grow, and share in fellowship with other students. The opportunity awaits you to come and join us as we explore our faith in a very special community.
Lay School sites include Negaunee, Escanaba, and St. Ignace, Michigan and Sayner, Wisconsin. Classes at these sites meet at different times. For more information contact the church office or click here.
